Who We Are
The Church traces its foundation/root from BUILDERS OF SALVATION which started from Takoradi in 1974. The Church split from BUILDERS OF SALVATION in 1986 due to the introduction of some doctrines and practices by the then Leader which had no basis in the Bible. Persistent effort made by the rest of the Leaders to change such unscriptural doctrines and practices proved futile and that resulted in the split.
After seeking the face of God and being convinced of the Lord’s leading an administration was set up and the name CHRIST RESURRECTION CHURCH was chosen.
CHRIST RESURRECTION CHURCH was then registered with the Government of Ghana in March 1987.
In the year 1989, the church experienced a series of deaths which compelled the Leadership of the church to seek the face of the Lord. In the course of the prayer, the Lord established a Covenant with the Church, “that His presence shall continue to be with the church” and added that He the Lord will confirm the covenant with the fact that, no member of the church shall die within the next five years (i.e. from 1989). This promise was exactly fulfilled by the Lord, thereby confirming the Covenant. As part of the covenant, the Lord gave the church the following obligations, which if obeyed shall maintain His covenant:
That the church members shall:
- Love one another
- Support the Church and
- Support the Ministers of the church
but find somebody to do it with you”
